Mysterious cenotes and mayian pyramids at Yucatan peninsula

Jungles on Yucatan peninsula are literally covered with hiden cenotes. The whole peninsule is intertwined with a net of small rivers which end up in the sea. The Yucatan is formed by limestone which easilly break, there you can find various lakes and lagunes. These form the entrances to this waste underworld labyrint. Mayan people used cenotes as sources of drinking water but also as a sacred place where god of rain Chak live, they were entrance to the Underworld for them as well as place to put sacrifices. Diving in cenotes are very specific and has a magic. The jungles around are impenetrable, which complicates seeking of new cenotes.Also the jungles are full of lost cities and Mayan pyramids.
