Shades are slowly going across sandy bottom. Right, left, right left....influence by moving of sea waves. It looks here like a desert, but I know that this is just for the first look. I am waiting patiently and watching the bottom. Where are you? I know you must be here somewhere. I am looking, and looking and still see nothing. What is up? Aaa there you are... My favourite inhabitants of this ,,desert“ – the seamoths. Weird animals going always in pairs. I have never seen them alone. They really evoke the mysterious dragons. If you provocate them they strech their sky-blue wings and run above the sandy bottom by unbelievable swiftness. They could hover in the water like the mythic wingy creatures in the air . They are very cute, sometimes I think that they are playfull and that they really enjoy playing with me ,,touchlast“.

Seamoth (Eurypegasus draconis) belongs to the fish family, even it doesn´t look like. It always appears in pairs, where is one, the other follow. Some divers could learn from them. You have to dive with your diving partner (buddy), it´s not good to dive alone because of the safety. Some divers, mostly the begginers don´t know where they have their diving buddy underwater, because in the beggining they have a lot of work with themselves. Unfortunately even some experienced divers don´t care about their buddies and put themselves in danger. But seamoths are always nicely in couples, when I find one I start to look for another, sometimes I found even third seamoth. Seamoths are very unusual. They move by ventral fins and big pectoral fins, which look like little blue wings. The whole body is covered by bony desks, which makes circles around the tail. This helps them to have their tail mobile. Seamoths have interesting tubular rostrum, that beats toothless mouth. They grow 10cm, live in Red sea, Arabic sea and Indian ocean. In depth 1-15m. Surroundings in which they live is typical by sediment as sand, stones, pieces of shells and brash. Seamoths occur very often but most divers don´t know about them. Because of their size and mimicry is easy to oversight them. But when you once see them you can better discover them next time.
